Help us build the computer for the next mind.

We will hire five founding engineers as soon as the seed round closes. Roles are listed below. We are based in Pasadena, California; senior roles can be remote with quarterly on-site weeks at the bench. Compensation: market cash + meaningful founder-tier equity.

Kernel engineer

Lead the Ameka OS kernel. Background in Linux internals, seL4, Redox, or Genode. Rust strongly preferred. You will own the kernel surface from day one.
Engineering · Founding

Driver / firmware engineer

Bring up Ameka silicon and write the device drivers that bind silicon to OS. Background in GPU/accelerator driver development. Asahi or Apple GPU reverse-engineering experience a strong plus.
Engineering · Founding

Compiler engineer

Own the AI compiler surface from PyTorch / JAX / vLLM down to the Ameka tensor tiles. Background in MLIR, IREE, or OpenXLA.
Research · Founding

AI systems researcher

Shape the agent-as-process model. Decide what becomes a kernel primitive and what stays in userland. Publication history in OS/AI-systems venues welcomed but not required.
Design · Founding

Industrial designer

Own the chassis. The product is the heatsink. We need someone who has shipped beautiful objects and cares about materials.
Engineering · Founding

Mechanical engineer

Thermal solution. Phase-change cooling design. Vibration. CMF. Prior work on premium consumer electronics or workstation-class hardware required.

  • Founder-tier equity. 0.5% – 2.0% depending on stage and role, four-year vest, one-year cliff. Numbered employee badges 0001 onward.
  • Market cash. Comparable to a Series A startup in the Bay Area for the same role.
  • Real bench time. Every engineer gets an Ameka workbench on day one. You take it home if we ever part ways.
  • Build in public. Your work shows up in Bench Notes with your name on it. We don't hide our engineers.
