One-line boilerplate

Ameka is the world's first AI-native computer. A new neural substrate, a new operating system designed end-to-end by AI, for the people building the future with it.

Three-paragraph boilerplate

Ameka, Inc. is a Pasadena-based computer company founded in 2026 to build the first personal computer designed from the model down — for the kind of mind that is not human. The flagship product, Ameka 01, is an AI-native workstation with a 3 nm neural-fabric SoC, 1 TB of unified memory, silent phase-change cooling, and Ameka OS, an operating system scaffolded end-to-end by a multi-agent fleet of frontier reasoning models.

The company is in pre-product development. Reservations are open from $100 deposit at ameka.ai, with deliveries beginning in 2027. Ameka is raising a $5M seed round on a SAFE; investor information is at ameka.ai/invest.

Ameka was founded by Gary Alcock, a software engineer and founder with multi-year operational experience building agentic workflows on frontier AI models. The company is headquartered in Pasadena, California.

Talking points for stories about Ameka

  • Why AI hardware now. The window to build a non-NVIDIA, non-Apple "third platform" for AI is open and small. Ameka aims at the workstation seat — the researcher, the founder, the studio.
  • AI designs hardware. Ameka OS is being scaffolded by frontier reasoning models. The corpus of design RFCs will be open to seed investors and (later) the public.
  • Privacy by silicon. Every inference is attested by a hardware root of trust. No telemetry leaves the device unless the user signs a request.
  • Long-life industrial design. The chassis is the heatsink. No fans. No plastic. Engineered to outlast every model that runs on it.
  • Reservations fund development. Refundable deposits are kept in a segregated bank account and disclosed in Bench Notes.

Founder bio — Gary Alcock

Gary Alcock is the founder and CEO of Ameka. He has spent the last several years building agentic workflows on Anthropic and OpenAI models in production environments, and concluded that no commercially available computer was actually shaped for the work. Ameka is the answer to that.
